Brief Description: Empennage to Fuselage Assembly 2
Today I did my initial fitting of the horizontal stab to the fuselage. I got things lined up enough to fabricate my control rods, but didn't drill any holes yet. With the stab and elevators in place and the elevator clemped in-trail I first assembled one end of the control rod and threaded it onto the rod-end at the elevator horn. I then clamped the elevator bellcrank in a vertical position and used the other rod-end assembly to mark a cut line on the tube. I removed the tube and assembled the second end. I did the same for the second control rod that goes the the control sticks, but I only assembled one end since the other end has to wait until the control stops are installed.
