Ok, today I finally finished up the last of the deburring and dimpling. With and the rib and spar parts ready to go I worked on getting the skins ready. Once everything was hole and edge deburred, I scuffed the inside of the skin with green scotchbright and cleaned. I then used the c-frame dimpler to do all the holes it could reach. For the holes close to the LE radiud I used the hand squeezer and the pop-rivet dimpler. Once the skins were dimpled, they got one more good cleaning and then a thin coat of primer.
While the primer on the skins cured I started riveting the structure together. I began by riveting the rear spar assembly. I got the majority of this done, I have just a few items left to rivet.
I must have had a bad batch of primer. I had some adhesion problems on the rear spar parts. I had to strip and re-prime these parts. The new primer is doing fine so it must have just been a bad (or old) batch.
