Not a lot of work done today. I pulled the canopy from the fuselage and clamped the slider frame in place. I then used a 1/2" drill bit through the canopy latch hole in the frame to mark the drill location if the canopy. I didn't drill the hole with that bit, I just turned it enough to make a mark on the plexi. I then removed the frame a drilled the hole in the canopy using a couple of step drills. I polished the hole with 220 and then 400-wet.
This is the second latch hole I have drilled. My first canopy fitting (with the latch stub still on the frame) didn't give me the best postion. I had to shift the canopy aft a couple of inches. It isn't a big deal. the "ventalation hole" will be covered up later on. While I was at it, I also did a bit more trimming on the aft edge of the canopy. I might need to trim a bit more down by the lower conners, but the gap is good everywhere else along the aft edge.
