I didn't get as much done this weekend as I would have liked. Between being stuck late at work on Friday and some home maintenance that needed to be done (re-grouted and caulked the shower).
I fitted the first of two ribs that support for forward section of the tailcone skin that extends forward of F-606. All the plans say is to use the pre-punched holes to fit the rib. Mmmmkkkaayy, I don't have a prepunched kit, so that isn't very helpful. It pretty obious that the sliders plans are shared with the RV-7 (which is a pre-punched kit). After quite a bit of fussing around I finally found a decent location for the rib where it matched the radius of the skin. I marked the rivet pattern on the rib and then back0drilled it to the skin.
