Today I partially removed the skin so I could drill pilot holes in the longeron. I then put the skin back in place and back-drilled the skin. I drilled the forward portion of the skin first and then removed the canopy decks so I could back-drill the aft section.
With the drilling done, I removed the skin and made the first shot at cutting the skin to form the glarershield. I cut conservatively for this time around. I put the skin back in place and stuck the rollbar on the place so I could see what it all looked like. I will likely need to cut the skin back a bit more, but this is a start.
