I used a couple of ways to check the rudder travel while adjusting the stop. Ken gave me his travel limits he used marked on heavy paper, I used a digital angle finder to measure travel, and the measurement from the tip of the elevator. All methods reflected similar results for rudder travel. By far the easiest is to measure at the elevator tip, so I continued adjusting the rudder stop using this method. Several more iterations of mounting the rudder, checking travel and adjusting the stop. Once again I went a little too far on the left side. Decided not to start over and made a shim to correct the rudder travel. Finally have both directions to proper travel. Drilled the shim to the rudder, deburred and scuffed for primer. Got several other bits and pieces ready for primer and washed them all, then set out to dry.
