Brief Description: Drill Baggage Ribs and Conical Bend
In preparing to drill the top and bottom tabs on the F-724 I decided to cleco on a small piece of wood to back up the tab and keep it from moving under the drill. This worked well on the left rib, but on the right side the wood pushed the rib slightly out of position and the holes were out of place. Made a new tab, and attached it to the right side rib and was more careful on locating the wood block. Successfully drilled the new tab to the F-623 rib.
Pulled back the skin on the left side and adjusted the tabs under the conical bend, re-attached and match drilled. Also drilled the skin to the F-623 rib. Repeat process on the right side.
Cleco'd in the baggage panels and decided to make the aft one removable as well as the forward panel (per plans) to go along with my removable floor pans. Marked the panels for screws and plate nuts.
