I drilled the firewall #40 in the location specified in the plans to run the throttle control cable. I used a long bit and drill guide to mark the F-982E panel for the throttle cable to pass through. Drilled the F-982E at the mark and upsized the hole to 1/2 inch for a grommet. I've decided to only put the three main engine controls on the F-746 panel and put the alternate air door cable on the upper left of the main panel. Marked the holes on the F-746 per the plans from right to left, and then cut the excess two inches off the left side. I decided then to move the two outboard holes 1/4 inch closer to the center to give a bit more edge distance on the sides. Drilled the three holes and upsized with a step drill to 1/2 inch for throttle and 3/4 inch for prop and mixture and deburred. Used scrap piece to experiment with a possible second throttle control on the left side of cockpit.
