Started on mounting the rudder by attempting to assemble it on the bench with bearing settings from the plans. Had to run a drill through the mounting points to get the bolts in. Took several attempts to assemble on the bench, to finally get all three bolts in. Mounted the vertical stab and hung the rudder on the plane. Experimented with seat position and rudder pedal location and decided the middle position for both seems comfortable for me with full rudder throw available. Used safety wire to estimate the length of the rudder cable connection links.
