Received a response from Van's that suggested I remove the rivets at the top of the bulkhead and see how the fit is. I drilled the rivets and cleco'd on the skin and it went on pretty well. The holes at the top of the bulkhead were now mis aligned by about half a hole diameter. I dis assembled and used the long straightedge to re set all the flanges on the bulkheads. Reinstalled the skin with same result.
Tried again with the old skin and the bulkhead holes were still mis aligned. Removed old skin and reinstalled my skin. Wrote to Van's again with pictures of the mis aligned holes at top of bulkhead. Asked if I could make a doubler to connect the two halves.
