Brief Description: Drill Rudder Pedal Mounts to F-719
Marked the F-719s for the most forward position of the rudders per the plans (3 inches aft of firewall) and removed the F-719s. Made reference marks at 1 inch intervals for two more pedal locations. Looked at a third, but edge distance for mounting holes would be insufficient. Compared reference marks on left and right F-719 and they lined up exactly.
Clamped left F-719 to the bench and match drilled with the left mounting block at each location. Did the same with the right F-719. Check the parts back to back and holes line up nicely. Installed the rudder pedal assembly in the most forward position. Cleco'd in the firewall recess and checked clearance, no issues.
Trimmed the F-6118 center brace and checked the fit with the firewall recess. Removed the recess and clamped the F-6118 in place. Marked mounting block at most forward position. Moved rudder assembly to most aft and marked location. Marked location of firewall recess rivets on the F-6118.
Wet sanded the brake pedals with 400 grit, let dry, and then painted with Rustoleum Smoke Gray.
