Brief Description: GPS and XM weather antennae mounts
I wanted to mount the GPS and XM weather antennae in a no drag and non visible location and saw an RV 10 with similar little shelves located on the upper part of the firewall. The neat thing about the design of these shelves is they are easy to adjust to get them level to the longerons. By riveting the top flange first and leveling the plane, you can move the bottom flange up or down before drilling to level the shelf bracket. I’m not going to attach them until I mount the engine, just to make sure they don’t interfere with anything, but they are ready to go.
