Brief Description:  Mounting the landing gear

Today was a great day and really productive. I took the assembled wheels to a local motorcycle shop and had them balanced. All three wheels needed some stick on leads to get them right, the tires must be way off (surprise, made is China) but they are balanced, so I’m hoping for a smooth ride. The gear legs slid right in the mounts due to the previous work done on them. They were coated with Par-al-ketone a rust inhibitor, bolted and torqued in place. The nose wheel fork was bolted on and the disk torque washers and nut where assembled. I will adjust the breakaway torque next time in the shop and finish drilling the axels for the cotter pins that go through the axels nuts to safety them in place. Then the plane stand on its own.
