Brief Description:  Cutting the canopy

The big cut went well; I chose to do it on the airplane so that the canopy was supported by the frame. I had one tense moment when I got to the final ½’ on the big cut, the windscreen shifted and the last ¼ snapped as the two separated. Make sure to support the wind screen during the cutting operation. No damage, but there could have been. I will spent the next day at the hanger getting fit ready for the SikaFlex adhesive and carefully drilling the very few holes I plan to have in the canopy. These being for the latch and a pull handle on the aft part of the canopy.
