Brief Description: Installing the canopy rollover frame
This is a place to take your time and measure 3 times before drilling. Follow Vans instructions closely here, because it would be easy to mess it up. In the instructions he mentions a hole in the canopy sill for back drilling the aft hole. It wasn’t there, so I measured where it should have been and drilled it with a Unibit to 3/8”. The wood pieces in the picture are 7/32” in shims to hold the frame in the proper distance from the outside skin. The next session will be dedicated to making the F-XXXX bolt spacers that clamp to the longeron.
