Brief Description: Making a throttle cable braket that works
Hooking up the throttle was a nightmare. The bracket in the kit would not work for a number of reasons, but the major issue was a huge misalignment and it would have put the cable too close to the exhaust headers. I made 2-3 different brackets, but none of them improved the alignment enough. The boss on the engine is right where the cable needs to be, so if you put it on either side it is out of alignment. I ended up making a bracket with a welded leg to get the cable close to the boss. This help quite a bit and a spacer as show on the plans made up the rest of the mismatch. The pictures are not the final install, the bolts need to be safety wired and the cable needs a heat shield. Also, the cable can’t be installed until the panel is painted and in place. I might try to get that done after I do the mixture control bell crank and position that cable.

Welded on both sides, but not where the nut needs clearance
