Brief Description: Installing Archer VOR antenna in right wing tip
Today I installed a Bob Archer antenna in the right wing tip. These VOR antennas are renowned for great performance if installed correctly, so I followed the directions closely. There is not a lot to installing these units, they mount under the nut plates that attach the wing tip to the wing and therefore are well grounded. The wiring, including the routing of the wing tip light wiring is described in detail. I’ll post more pictures when I get to that point. I still want to add a support rib in the tip because they are so flexible and this was recommended by my designee from experience.
