Brief Description: Firewall forward kit inventory and cabin heat valv
The firewall forward kit came today, so I spend the better part of the morning doing the inventory and making sure it was all there. ( It was) Then since I had all these new parts I decided to start working of the stuff that mounts to the firewall so I can be ready for the engine, which should get here in mid July. The cabin heat valve or shut off seemed like a good place to start. I fooled the drawing measurements and punched a hole for the unit. Unfortunately the punch wasn’t real happy with the thin stainless and it distorted the firewall metal some. This is no big deal and strictly cosmetic, sine it is sealed off with high temperature red silastic to make sure there are no fumes leaking into the cabin. I will work on the control cable when I return from our trip up north in a few weeks. No post until then.
