Brief Description:  Preparing the instrument panel skin for assembly

Today I riveted the instrument nut plate angle to the forward fuselage skin. These join the forward fuselage skin to the instrument panel. When I cleco this in place I will be able to rivet the firewall from the outside and the center ribs by reach under the skin, but the last rows of rivet to the longerons will get bucked from the inside of the fuselage. Ed Booth volunteered to do the inside part, he is a small guy and is very flexible. These are attribute I just don’t have, so I’m really glad to have the help. He is in Florida until after Jan 1st, so it will have to wait until then. With the entire family coming in for the Holidays, I won’t be doing much anyway until, so no reports until then. Happy Holidays!
