Brief Description: Riveting the forward turtle deck skin
These pictures are pretty self explanatory; I marked every rivet location with the proper length rivet to ensure proper grip length. We back riveted the entire skin and all turned out well with only one small ding on the support rib. This is a particularly tough part to rivet in place and required a small bucking bar and careful placement. The rest of the skin was back riveted using a large mushroom bucking bar and a back rivet set shown in image 2. I pre-bent the skin slightly at the longeron to get it to lay flat. This was not necessary and is probably a mistake because it shows slightly in the skin. Just use cleco in every hole and take them out one at a time as you rivet.
