Brief Description:  Trimming the rear wing spars

The day before the New Years and nothing to do, so let’s hack! Also, since the house the house emptied out from Christmas, the girls and my father decided they could not stand me anymore and went home it was about time to go back to building anyway. This cut on the rear spar is kind of scary and must be perfect, so I decided to use the slow hand method. I carefully marked the rear spars per the drawing and went to work with a hacksaw staying just outside of the marking line. Then it was just a matter of using a Vixen file to get close and a finishing file to make it smooth. A touch with the Scotch-Brite drum on the air tool and it turned out very nice. Sometimes what you think may be a big task is just a fun little project like this one. I have heard with normal variances in building that a few have needed to take more off to set the sweep properly, and if that is the case, I will pull the wings and shave some more off as required with a Vixen. The wings are now ready to mount and set the incidence.
