I worked on the right elevator today. The elevator skin was done the other day and all the stiffeners were back riveted on, and of course we also bent the trailing edge as specified in the plans. The good news is we do not have to this again and it’s on to new stuff.
I clecoed the spar and the end ribs in place and also the horn, then drilled the entire assembly. Then took it all apart, de-burred, dimpled, and dressed all edges. Wednesday I'll prime the spar, ribs and other parts, re-assemble the elevator, and rivet it all together. Should have it all done by Thursday! that’s my plan and I'm sticking to it.
