Rudder work today and I messed up a skin, oh shit. I called Van's an ordered another, $38 plus shipping, but I want a good plane and don’t want to cut corners or have dents. ;-) This trailing edge is much tougher then it needs to be, I really think the elevator is a much better design and stronger to boot with the folded trailing edge and the .016 rudder skin is just too delicate in my mind. I match drilled the trailing edge to an angle so I can cleco it down when I glue it with JB weld or Proseal. I’m still waiting on my Akzo primer, so I have no choice but to keep on building and just working on getting all the parts made and ready for painting.
