I decided with all the nose wheel/gear problems RV’ers are having, to buy and install the new Matco Mfg. nose wheel axel. This axle adjusts the pre-load on the Timkin taper bearings in the wheel. See the information here:
Installation is easy, match drill a hole from the axel for the anti-rotation bolt , remove old axle and after installing the Matco axle in the wheel, adjust the pre-load per the instructions and put it back on the plane. That’s it and it works!
