Brief Description:  Wiring the ignition, magnetos, and OV/LV Module

The ignition/magneto switch is in and wired. I wanted to test it, but the long term storage gunk is still in the engine, so it would damage it turning it over. I’m pretty sure it’s correct, but it will just have to wait until it’s time to fire up the engine. I also finished the wiring to the OV/UV module and tested it. I know it works because I powered it up from the battery and when I hit the flap switch and lowered them the light came on indicating low voltage. I have yet to charge the battery and I know it down to 11.5 volts because I put a meter on it, so it was a perfect test.
Also in image 2 is one of the magneto connections, there are two. I had to call Ed Booth to get some instruction on connecting the shielding to ground. As it turns out, you carefully strip the outer covering 2 inches back without damaging the shielding and then un-braid the shielding. Twist the shielding into a wire, put heat shrink over it and then swage a ring terminal on it. The blue wire is the shield with the heat shrink. Then use another heat shrink at the “Y” to support the center conductor and the shield conductor. It works well as long as you are careful and do it properly. The picture tells the story, do one for each magneto and run them to the ignition switch.
