This fin is simpler than most model airplane fins. A 1/4" x .035 tube A-frame that supports the center of the top fin ridge. 2-pieces.
I've bumped up against an obstacle in that I ran out of 5/8 x .049 tube. I need it for a critical fuse-bottom cross-member, and until I have it I can't proceed further with shaping the nose. There is a place an hour from here I can get it, so I'll do that soon. There's other mat'l I need to proceed with the fwd rotor mast support structure. So for the last two days I've been mainly going through the plans and making an inventory of material I need to keep things moving for another couple months. After the nose-shaping, I'll move on to finish-welding and the landing gear. The "Save The Rotorcraft Foundation" is mounting a wheel and brake fundraiser. (It's for the children).
