Brief Description: Leading Edge Landing Light Prep
I taped the templates to the leading edges. I measured the 18.75" from the edge of the top skin to the opening every way I could think of. It is very nervewracking to cut a hole into the leading edge. Finally, I broke out the Dremel tool with a cut-off wheel and dug in to the right wing. I started 3/8" from the line but eventually went right up to it. I next smoothed the cut with a file. I have a little more work to do on it but I think it will be just fine! My order from Stein is scheduled to arrive Thursday, so I will get my left tank finished this weekend.
