I plotted the holes in the C-614 Splice Plate and drilled them to #40 on the drill press using a makeshift fence to ensure they were straight. I then clamped the splice plate into position on the canopy frame. I taped the canopy frame/skin assembly into position and used scrap aluminum as spacers between the skins to help ensure that the skins would not catch on each other when the canopy is opened. The canopy skin and front skin look pretty good, but I have a 3/16" gap between the canopy skin and fuselage skin on both sides near the front. I called Joe Tierney and he is going to come by tomorrow or next week and take a look at it and provide some guidance.
