I got up early and leak-tested the tanks again. I over torqued the cap on the left tank and created a leak around the flop tube. My "good luck" from all week was continuing. I then checked the right tank and found just two small pinholes that I missed a few days ago. I mixed up some proseal and set the tanks in the guestroom to dry. I cleaned and etched the left wing leading edge parts. Just as I began spraying the primer, the rain started pouring. I got water drops in the primer in the leading edge skin and couldn't prime the ribs. I brought everything back into the garage and finished dimpling the top of the rear spars with the squeezer. I assembled the aileron brackets and grabbed my countersink which I was sure was set perfectly from whenever I last used it. I was wrong and over sunk two holes. A new bracket is $13.95 plus shipping and a 7 day wait. I may just use some -5 rivets although I don't have any at the moment. I got my new left wing bottom skin in from Van's today via Fed Ex. $88.15 for the skin and $42 for shipping. I edge finished, drilled and deburred the skin and clecoed it to the wing. I carefully placed the template on the skin ( although I did move it one rivet hole outboard to provide clearance from the rib). I used a step-drill and Dremel tool to cut the hole in the skin and fiinished it off with files and emery cloth. I have minimum edge distance on the forward edge of the mast plate but it certainly won't interfere with the rivets attaching the leading edge to the spar. I clecoed my previously fabricated aileron stifffeners to the skins and matchdrilled them. I removed the blue plastic from the skins, deburred and dimpled the stiffeners and skins.
