Brief Description:  Left Wing Leading Edge

I began the day priming the parts that I didn't get painted the day before due to rain. Just as I was finishing it began to sprinkle so I moved them into the garage. I then made the mistake of opening the garage door which poured water down upon my freshly painted parts. I removed the stall warning assembly from its riblet and riveted the riblet into the leading edge and then reinstalled the assembly. I riveted the ribs into the leading edge using the squeezer and my new bucking bar (this one has an angle cut into one end-very handy!). I used MSP-42, MSP-43 and MSP-44 Cherrymax rivets to attach the leading edge to the spar. The pneumatic squeezer made quick work of the edge rivets. Next up was the Duckworks lens. I got Ginger to help me install the bracket in the leading edge as her hands fit better through the lens opening. I used a 5/32" Plasti Drill from Avery Tools to drill the lens. I chucked it in my corded Dewalt reversible variable speed drill and drilled them in reverse. It worked like a charm. I need to get my lights so I can finish them off. I ended the evening by dimpling and countersinking the access plate openings in the bottom skins, scarfing the overlap, and dimpling some of the rest of the skin holes.
