My fuel valve lever has an aluminum placard for left-right-close, which is bolted through the console cover, spacers and fuel valve brace and fuel valve. The spacers are needed to ensure the console panel is not warped when all components are bolted together.
I needed another .05 spacer to make sure the console panel lays flat. Marked and fabricated a spacer to sit on top of the fuel valve brace. This allows the console panel to lay flat across the console brace when the everything is bolted together. The way everything is bolted together, it is impossible to put the placard on incorrectly indicating which fuel tank is in use.
I am getting very close to installing the wings... and of course, both the left and right console cover panels must be removed to install the spar bolts.
