Brief Description:  Right Flap Hinge Redo

Redo of the right flap hinge. Problem was that previous builder dimpled the flap hinge and flap brace, and did not use longer rivets to take into account the dimpled flap brace. All of the rivets, the shop side was way to short. Also, the last three rivets in the lower inboard flap brace are supposed to be countersunk in the rear spar, and the brace dimpled. This was not done, so did so now...

Drilled out all rivets for the flap brace, which include the flush rivets on the trailing edge of the wing surface, and the blind rivets attaching to the rear spar. This is when I found out why the rivets looked so poor. Had to replace the flap brace and hinge. Countersink the hinge, and installed with proper edge distance for the rivets and flap hinge.

This was the first time I had to drill out a LOT of rivets, so it was definately a learning opportunity. Got pretty decent at it to where the rivet head was centered and breaking, and ended up collecting quite a few on the drill bit.

Was really dreading this, but it turned out rather well... Now to make the left flap hinge match the new right hinge relative to edge distance.
