Brief Description:  Level the Fuse...

Level the Fuse in preparation for installing the HS. Constructed a stand to hoist the rear fuse. Ended up being nearly 36". Main gear legs have no wheels...

Necessary to level the fuse front to back, and side to side, to ensure the HS, when shimmed properly, has zero angle of incidence relative to the fuse. Outbound leading edge of the HS is measured on both the left and right sides to ensure the HS is square on the fuse to matching points on the fuse just behind the canopy opening.

Don't want the plane flying sideways or stalling in a undesirable way, so it's critical to attach the HS, VS, Wings and all control surfaces as detailed in Van's plans.
