After removing the intersection fairings, trimmed the edges and sanded to get an idea about how much work is required to get the fairings looking decent. Both fairings fit reasonably well at this point, the benefit of laying up the fairing in place.
I started sanding the right-side fairing to get a smooth surface. I can't say it is a ton of fun, the fairing has no flat surface, sanding is a pain. After 1.5 - 2 hours of sanding on the right-side fairing, there remains a ton of work left to do.
