Brief Description: New 3-port Manifold
|
|
Had to order a replacement 3-port manifold for the Oil, Fuel and Mainfold Pressure, due to..
the first one I broke of an AN elbow fitting and could not remove the broken piece. the second one was not tapped correctly, so when I installed the plug, it would only go in a few tuns before stopping. Attempted to re-tap the threads, but did not produce a very good result.
Van's simply sent a replament at no charge - many thanks. Was finally able to assemble the 3-port manifold attaching the AN fittins and plugs as required, and attching the individual sensors.
Figured out that the original location of the mainfold pressure line - based on earlier plan - is now not the plan - lol. The original plan was to penetrate the firewall to the right of the battery, but now the line will route to the 3-port manifold, so I need a line ~ 36 inches, about 1/2 again as long as the line currently.
In order to ensure the mainfold pressure line clears the engine mount, assembled a stand-off for the new line to clear.
