Reamed the brass fittings per spec for AN3 bolt (#12 was it?). filed both the brass fittings and the control sticks to conform, as best I could, to the control column fittings. Install both forward and rear control sticks.
The objective in this activity is to remove just enough of the steel sleeve of the control sticks, but not too much. You don't wany any side-to-side movement in the control column and the control sticks. Used a file to cautiously remove a bit of the steel sleeve, measuring as I went to get a good fit.
