Brief Description: Trial Fit Flap Fittings, Repaired Old Tie Down Rin
Trial fit flap system components. Motored actuator just for fun. The motor, unloaded, takes about ten second to go through its full range. I also did my first laminating on the wing. I taped some light gauge sheet metal to the bottom of the wing to back up the holes from the old tiedown ring attach plates. I then mixed up 50 grams of resin. A little bit of the resin was used to mix up some cabosil to fill the holes from the top. I also filleted around the lower spare cap a bit to help the cloth lay better. The rest of the resin was used to wet out two, two ply patches about 3 inches square. These were laid over the area where the old attach plates were located.
