Brief Description: Outer Wing Fwd Spar Construction
Sanded vertical pieces and cleaned up both forward outer wing spars. Tried to use a hand belt sander...not good. Wound up using a sanding stick. Cut and fit vertical 1/2" pieces (full width) and the 3/4" square vertical pieces. Epoxied in place and clamped. Noticed that end of vertical pieces do not fit "square" to spar cap. That is because of the taper which means that ends are not square. Cut additional vertical pieces for second wing spar. Used 1 15/16" wide by 1/2" thick and 3/4" square vertical pieces. Epoxied vertical pieces on second outer wing forward spar.
