AviPro included floorboards for the area under the seat with plenty of overlap. So I am simply installing nutplates along the overlap to join them together. I thought about bending the edges up for stiffness first and putting the screws horizontal - but decided I liked it flat in this area instead. I can add a siffener or two if needed later.
I was probably a little overzealous here in that I really didn't need as many screws as I put in. I probably won't be able to put the aft screw in because of the seat rail here. I think it would have worked better with 5 screws instead of 9, 4 in front of the slot and one behind.
I am also planning to look into putting a piece of rubber over the slot for the cable to pass through, but haven't totally decided about this.
