To make room for the new control rods that run directly from the bottom to the swatch plate without the need for a walking beam I did the following.Fabricated fillets using paper templates.Cut the tubbing allowing room for the control rod when moved fully up and down.fabricated insert that go into the now cut tubing, adding rigidity(if you don't do this first and weld the fillits on any slag in the inside of the tubing will restrict the ability to insert the inserts without a great amount of filing)Weld the inserts into the tubing and seal the endstack weld and the fully weld the fillets in placeDave Chrisman did the welding
