Brief Description:  Practice

More practice work. Machine countersinking, dimpling, riveting. Much better results than previous session. Have the rivet gun pressure set properly so that I can set 1/8" rivets with no problem - about 60 psi. That pressure works with 3/32 as welll, but goes quickly.

Found that machine countersinking works much better with cordless drill to reduce chattering. It is not controllable with the air drill. The cordless on the low setting works great - around 500 rpm.

Some concern with how dimpled skins fit into machine countersunk holes in angle stock. The dimples look good, rivets sit in nicely flush, but the dimple does not fully fit into countersunk hole. I experimented with a deeper hole, but I ended up removing too much material and enlarging the hole. I need to get someone with experience to look at it and make suggestions.

I was a little concerned with the holes being enlarged during dimpling process, but it seems that is normal.
