We back-riveted the rudder stiffeners to the left and right rudder skins. There are seven stiffeners on each skin. I used my rivet gun and back-rivet set to do this. The air line regulator was set to 22 lbs psi. The rivets were held in place with riveting tape during this process. The skin was positioned over the steel back rivet plate that is inset into one of my workbenches. The process went pretty smooth. The rivets ended up nice and flush in the dimpled holes in the skins, and the shop heads turned out just right using 22 lbs psi and 3 seconds on the gun.
After this was completed, we riveted the shear clips to the end of the stiffeners on the right skin in preparation for mating the two skins together.
