Brief Description: Vertical Stab, rudder and front deck
Drilled #30 holes in bottom of rear spar of vertical stabilizer. Drilled tie down hole to 5/8" in F779 skin. Marked and drilled holes for bolts in F712E. Matched F712E up to rear spar (after taking it back off the fuselage) and drilled holes. Put vertical stab back on and drilled bolt holes through F712 bulkhead. REmoved vertical stab again and placed F712E in position and drilled the four holes for rivets through bulkhead to 712E. Riveted 712E in place. Put vertical stab back on and drilled bolt holes to full size. Temporarily bolted everythign together. Put rudder on and checked alignment and ease of movement. Had to make adjustment to bottom rod end bearing. Clecoed in place the 792 rudder stops and drilled holes. Removed, deburred and riveted in place. Tried fitting the empennage fairing. Not sure how to do this very well so stopped after making minor trims of material.
Made F7103B-L&R and F7103C-L&R attach angles. Drilled holes for nutplates and riveted them all in place. Clecoed them to the instrument panel.
