Brief Description:  Sanding, and more sanding

Began sanding the fiberglass around the windscreen. What a nightmare. The selvage edges are awful. After hand sanding for more than 2 1/2 hours I decided I have to use something motor driven. Went to Lowes and picked up a 5" sanding attachment for my drill and used 80 grit sanding discs. Hugely better and was able to knock out a lot of the work in no time. Once I got the major parts done I reverted to hand sanding to get the curves right and to be more careful as I approached the windscreen taped off areas. Lower rear areas on both sides are awful and will require a lot of filling and sanding to make it work. Once I had everything sanded the way I wanted prior to applying more courses of fiberglass, I mixed up some resin and microballoons to a near paste-like mix and applied to the low spots and holes. Applied a ton to the lower rear areas as you can see in the pictures. Looks like a mess right now but I think it will be alright.
