Brief Description:  Cowl

I trimmed down the nut and bolt sticking out of both sides where I put a tab to hold the bottom of the windscreen at the side, Tried to get it as low as possible without compromising the integrity of the nut. Looks okay and will be covered up by fiberglass.

Reattached the cowl using all of the Skybolt fasteners in order to get alignment at the front of the cowl correct so I can install the three platenuts on each side of the cowl air intake openings nearest the propellor. Did some sanding of the upper cowl at the openings to start gettting the contours correct. Clecoed the already existing #40 hole on each side of the opening that I had drilled a long time ago when first doing the gross fitting of the cowl. Drilled the other two holes to #40 first, and then to 11/64" to accept a #8 screw and a black cleco to hold the platenuts whille drilling the #40 rivet holes. Got all that done and countersunk the rivet holes using a deburring tool since I couldn't get the countersink tool with the drill in there. Not entirely happy with the alignment of the three holes on each side, I must have slipped while starting the holes. Oh well.
