Brief Description:  Cowl continued

Began the day where I left off from yesterday. Finished the lower cowl firewall line of fasteners. Riveted in the receptacles and trial fit the lower cowl. Looks pretty good on the left side but there is a bit of a gap on the right side. Not much I can do about that now. Lower left receptacle hole is drilled about 1/8" too low and I will have to ream it a little higher for the retainer studs. Trimmed the fiberglass at the exhaust outlet are that I had left a little long. Cleaned up the cowl edges for a good fit. Measured for the side flanges on the left side and determined final spacing. It took 9 flanges for the side. I am short the number of flanges and parts I need and will need some more to do the right side. Bent the number 8 and 9 flanges toward the front to follow the cowl curves. Clamped in place and used drill jig as seen in picture number two to drill holes in cowl and flanges. First drilled with #40, then to #30 as required. Countersunk the cowl holes and receptacle holes and then riveted in place.
