Brief Description:  Cowl

Continued filing on top and bottom cowls at the front to get a good fit. Once I had the fit as close as I thought it needed to be for now I began work on the top cowl at the firewall. I made two small plates to cleco at the firewall for the cowl to sit on when it's trimmed and clecoed those in place after drilling to two spots on either side of the centerline. Began to trim the aft edge. Made two separate cuts with the Dremel tool to get within 1/16" to where I thought it was close to the edge of the top skin. Used my belt sander to sand until I was able to drop it on the plates without the front spacer at the spinner. Continued sanding to create the gap at the front and to true up the straightness of the aft edge of the top cowl. Made numerous small sands with a sanding block as it got closer to a good fit. Sanded and sanded til I called it good. I'm very happy with the fit and trueness of the aft edge fit to the top skin and firewall.
