I was bored tonight so went out in the garage for a rare mid-week session on the airplane. Removed the temporarily installed pitch servo and crimped on the D-sub pins and assembled the connector and shell. Re-installed the pitch servo and safety wired the bolts for permanent installation. Crimped on the male pins to the servo wiring harness already threaded back to the aft fuselage by the servo. Was just about done installing the pins in the connector when I realized I had not installed the heat shrink around the wires prior to assembling everything. I removed the pins from both connectors, ruining one of the plastic pin removers, fortunately I had another one. I put heat shrink on both wire bundles and re-assembled everything. I now realize I have to go back to the roll servo and do the same thing, That should be fun...not.
