Brief Description:  Mounted GADAHRS GPS antenna, Wiring

Made gasket for Comant GPS antenna and installed it using some blue RTV for sealing. Began wiring from just out of the stick to the front of the fuselage. Was confused for over an hour on how the wiring for the grips worked and if I had soldered the grip wires correctly. After studying the Ray Allen grip instructions and the Vertical Power instructions for the trim, PTT, and AP disconnect I finally decided I had the wires in the grip soldered correctly but that I had two wires coming out of it for the unused switches that would be for aileron trim which is manual on my plane. I cut those wires shorter and taped them together and used some heat shrink to cover up the wire ends. Decided the routing I wanted for the remaining 7 wires and cut 7 lengths of 22 ga wire to pull through from the pilot side to the front. I followed and zip tied these wires to the antenna cable from the pilot side. I crimped on the wires to the stick wires and covered everything with heat shrink. I also figured out how to wire the PTT from the passenger stick and connected those to the appropriate ground and Normally Open wire from the pilot side PTT. I can't believe I spent this much time on just this. Oh well, it's progress.
