Brief Description:  Mounted Dynon GPS, pulled wire

I first attached the canopy slide rail using the recommended #6 screws and nuts. Some didn't work well so I ended up increasing the size to #8's on three of the five holes. Used stainless #8 screws and installed screws, washers, and nuts. Looks good now. I drilled out the pulled rivet I had at the back of the top skin where it was too close to the center rib. I didn't like the way it laid in there. I incresed the size a bit and used a larger pulled rivet after counter sinling the hole appropriately. Turned out much nicer. Put the canopy back onto the fuselage to make sure I had clearance for the GPS pucks when the canopy opens. Once I was sure it would work I laid out where I wanted all the GPS pucks to go on the aft top skin. Decided to put the two Dynon GPS pucks on either side of the canopy slide rail about midway between the fore and aft of the skin. Marked where to drill holes usnig the template from the manual. Bad idea, it wasn't to scale and I should have know that but didn't figure it out untill I drill the pilot holes for the mounting screws. Sized the hole for the BNC connector appropriately and then used the actual GPS to locate the mounting holes. Worked much better. Took the pins out of the GPS connector and pulled the wires to the front through the conduit. Had a little bit of trouble and had to open up the conduit underneath the pilot seat area and do a two stage pull. Finally got them where they needed to go. Attached the hardware to the GPS pucks and secured the wires with ties from the skin to the conduit. Laiid out the location for the Comant GPS antenna used with the Vertical Power GADAHRS. Marked the hole locations and drilled them to size for the antenna connectors and the mounting hardware. Can't attach yet as I need to get some gasket material and some stainless screws.
